The Japa 435 is a firewood processor for professionals; featuring both the patented Perfect Split™ and Perfect Clean™ system. It produces clean firewood of consistent quality, safely and effortlessly, regardless of the size and hardness of the wood. The 435 can handle log diameters up to 17 inches (43.18 cm), with a max cut length of 21.7 inches (55.12 cm).
A smart system that uses sensors helps control and optimize the Japa 435 in real time. These sensors automatically optimize the functions based on the wood being processed. In addition to this, the processor has a data connection which allows it to connect to the factory for remote diagnostics and updates. This lets Japa service it from anywhere in the world.
The 405 features an automated re-splitting system (more on this in the Perfect Split section). However, you always manually control the infeed, cutting, and split cycle.
A single joystick controls the primary functions of the machine. The feeding, sawing, and splitting are all controlled with this one joystick, which makes running the machine as easy as possible.
The PTO configuration requires 45+ horsepower.
The Tractor PTO & 3-Phase Electric option does not require you to use both power options at once. There are two separate pumps, one for Tractor PTO and another for 3-Phase Electric. This lets you choose how you want to run the machine.
The Japa 435 processes wood exclusively with the Perfect Split system. Perfect Split uses a box wedge knife and sensors to automatically cycle the splitter until the log is fully processed. For full control, you can also run the splitter manually. And, again, you always manually control the infeed, cutting, and split cycle.
The splitting knife ensures that the Japa 435 processor is always fast, efficient, and easy to use, regardless of the wood’s hardness and size. Using different knives will affect the size of the firewood. The 4-way and 6-way knives are the most popular knives, but you can choose your desired knife size when buying the machine.
The Japa 435 does not work with traditional knives, it only uses the Perfect Split system. This makes it perfect for anyone who needs all of their firewood to be the same size.
The 4-Way and 6-Way perfect split knives are our most popular options. The 8-Way knife, on the other hand, is only suitable for soft wood and creates a very small final product. However, this makes it good for pizza ovens, wood fired cooking stoves, or any other situation that needs smaller, quick burning wood.
The Japa 435 also features the Perfect Clean system. The firewood moves across a vibrating platform that clears away dirt and debris, before reaching the conveyor. This keeps your firewood clean and gives your customers a better end product. A small conveyor moves this debris out from under the machine so you can collect it in a crate or bag. From there you can choose to use or dispose of it at your leisure.
Harvester Head Upgrade
The harvester head upgrade features a JPS harvester unit. This upgrade is about 50% more powerful than the standard saw system. It is faster and features automatic chain tensioning for higher performance and output. It also has the added benefit of having less wear on the bar and chain, and they wear more evenly.
The chain can be swapped on this unit in a minute, this further reduces downtime to maximize output.
Self-Lubricating Bar & Chain
The Japa 435 has a hydraulic powered adjustable bar oil pump. It has a separate oil reservoir to automatically lubricate the bar and chain. As a result, it is less likely to overheat because there is less friction. Which, in turn, lets your bar and chain last longer.
Key Differences Between the 405 and 435
The 435 is capable of handling larger diameters and has more overall power than the 405—more cutting power and more splitting force. It also has a powered overhead feed roller on the infeed conveyor, while the 405 has an idle overhead feed roller. Another difference is the 435 uses a .404 chain, while the 405 uses a 3/8 chain.
As previously mentioned, the Japa 435 only uses perfect split box wedge knives, it is not compatible with traditional knives. However, the Japa 405 is able to use both.
A Safer Firewood Processor
The Japa 435 comes with every safety feature that you can expect with a Japa processor. The safety guards are connected to the operation of the chainsaw and hydraulics. And opening the guards disables the hydraulics. For example, if you open the guard when the saw is active, it will immediately turn off. Likewise, you can open the guard to quickly deactivate the hydraulic splitter. As a result, this allows you to reposition any logs that fall awkwardly, without risk to yourself.
The Japa 435 is the largest processor we carry, if it offers more than you need, then the Japa 405 is worth checking out.
